Meghan Miller: A year ago she hit (-.134). This past season she hit .058. That is an increase of 192 points. This number was even more impressive with two weeks left in the season. Unfortunately, she struggled with too many errors leading up to sectional. Like Brooke her numbers improved in every category by the end of season. If she has another significant bump in her receive numbers (passed 1.61 compared to 1.45) and cuts down on hitting errors, Meg is going to push to play all-around.
Elizabeth Eurit: This year we started to make headway on improving our serve receive. Recognize every one of our players improved, but Libby Eller's improvement (1.60 to 1.79) went a long way toward solving this issue. However, the key was Elizabeth. She has not passed since 6th grade, yet we switch to a 6-2 offense largely so we can pull her back into receive. It paid off as she passed 1.92 leading us in her first year of passing high school serves and ended up 2nd on the team with 335 digs! Clearly, we need continued improvement and it would be great if someone joins our primary passers (lets all throw our hands up, dance around, and shout to the sky if that happens), but it appears that for us to achieve what we want next year, Eller and Worl need to pass 1.9's (or better) and Eurit needs to be 2.1 (or better).
Madison Miller: A year ago she passed 1.23. To be honest that is not good enough. This past season she passed 1.51. That still is not good enough, but it is starting to get there and we want to recognize a nearly 3/10's improvement, which was best among our returning players for next year.
Lauren Worl: As a freshman she hit .127 and had 218 kills. This year she hit .207 and had 334 kills. Nice numbers in a polite sort of way. However, nice and polite do not 'hang a number'. We expect to win next year. If receive continues to improve, then it comes down to hitting. Our hitters simple must not accumulate so many errors. Most of all, M1. Lauren has to be the dominate player on the court every night.
