The weight room was the Wash U. weight program for wrists, biceps and triceps. We did an extra machine tricep. Did a new lift that G. Fibrun is doing for her summer workouts with DePauw Volleyball, we call them Tiger Push Ups, and then leg drives on the jump boxes, another lift we stole from Grace.
Went to the cardio room for half a rotation in there. We did a two minute plank to start and a minute plank to finish.
Once in the gym, we wanted to play queens (it was quads) with G. Ayres leading us in scoring with 13 points and three girls tied at 11 points each. We had three players hitting against a full defense. G. Ayres hit (-.100), M. Worl hit (-.400) and M. McMains hit .400.
K. Hammond got in some extra swings after practice as she continues to work on her left arm. She had a really good night hitting an extra 25 balls or so. We have recently established some consistency with her left arm in drills. Things are slower and she can concentrate on it. Once match play starts and she has a lot of more to think about, the old habit of dropping her left arm returns more often than not. Little steps are better than no steps. We worked on a combination of attacks with McMains & Herron hitting against a block of Hammond & Worl. It stressed the blockers to sequence the end of an attack sequence.
